Our team is growing, and we have an excellent administrative opportunity for an on-site Medical Assistant reporting to our Practice Manager will play a key role in assisting medical providers with charting, billing, and various other activities. This position is ideal for individuals with basic medical knowledge or current students in the medical field who are eager to gain practical experience in a healthcare setting. This is a full-time on-site position in Levittown, PA, offering $19.00 per hour plus benefits inclusive of immediate health/dental/vision coverages, 15 days of vacation, 5 sick days, 401k Plan with company match and more.

- Charting Assistance: Collaborate with Providers to accurately document patient information, including medical histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Billing Support: Assist with medical billing tasks, such as verifying insurance details, coding medical procedures, and preparing billing statements.
- Patient Interaction: Welcome patients, collect medical histories, prepare patients for examinations, and provide general support during their visit.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and perform various office tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support patient care and clinic efficiency.
- Compliance: Follow healthcare regulations, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
- At least 1 year of experience using EMR/EHR system.
- At least 1 year of experience working in medical practice setting.
- Familiarity with medical coding and Medicare/Medicaid billing related processes.
- Basic medical knowledge or relevant coursework in medical assistant studies or similar.
- Proficiency with using various office software and keyboarding speed of at least 40 wpm.
- Friendly and professional communication to manage patient interactions and proficiency with interpersonal business communications with medical providers.
- Proficient organizational skills with strong attention to detail to handle administrative tasks.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow medical office protocols to comply with HIPAA and PHI requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current enrollment in medical field studies or unrestricted active or inactive medical certification or licensure such as (CMA, RMA, LPN, RN)
- Must comply with medical facility safety and vaccination requirements
- Ability to keyboard and use computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
