What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at First Evangelical Lutheran Church?
Being a vital member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church’s ministry team, the Administrative Assistant must be a compassionate, a welcoming person, who is able to maintain confidentiality. A person seeking this position must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel, as well as Adobe, Facebook, Canva, and possess other software navigational skills. Some basic bookkeeping skills are also needed. This position serves as the hub of information for the church. Therefore, the person filling this position must be astute to the happenings of various ministries, as well as produce and edit outgoing communications.
The work week is Monday through Thursday, with the Administrative Assistant working 6-7 hours a day. These hours can be flexible. Pay is BOE but ranges from $18-$20/hr. There will be room for salary growth with performance.
