Role:
To direct and schedule resources needed to meet the paying and receiving needs of the bank.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 35%
Controls the main cash vault; buys excess currency and coin from tellers; sells currency and coin to tellers to meet customer requests; prepares change orders for commercial depositors.
E 20%
Receives and processes customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells cashier's checks to customers; transfers amounts from customer accounts as directed.
E 15%
Monitors teller activities for compliance with cash polices and procedures. Takes action to resolve any out-of-compliance issues; may be responsible for completing branch reports.
E 15%
Monitors the cash requirement for the bank and places orders for currency and coin shipments; prepares currency shipments to the Federal Reserve.
E 5%
Makes reports of large currency transactions and reports any suspicious activity to supervisor.
N 5%
May be responsible for ATM / cash dispenser settlement and processing of ATM deposits.
N 5%
Performs other duties as assigned.

9. To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
Must have good communication skills. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills required; must be able to lift bags of coin weighing 30 - 40 lbs.; must be accurate with numbers and names.
Physical Requirements
The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or clients and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer. Position requires standing, stooping, and lifting coin in bags and trays.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and may require travel to branches and other locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
