Responsible for promoting First Fidelity Bank (“Bank”) business growth within the North Oklahoma City market. Actively solicits and expands retail and commercial business by networking and making business development calls on both current and prospective opportunities. Outside calling activities account for majority of the workweek. Meets with prospects to identify business needs and recommends products and solutions. Assists with sales processes including prospect prioritization, initial contact and pursuit strategy, identification of fit, proposal development, and overall management of new customer acquisition, including client onboarding. Promotes the Bank in the community by making outside calls and maintaining an active visible role in appropriate civic and community organizations.

Business Development
- Partners with market leadership to develop and implement the business development strategy.
- Identifies current and potential future needs of clients and prospects with a goal of increasing product penetration.
- Increases the Bank’s relevance to prospective customers and positions the Bank for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value-added ideas.
- Initiates and maintains customer contact through face-to-face interaction, walk-in traffic, call activity, business calls and community involvement. The majority of time (70% ) will be spent outside the office engaged in sales activities.
- Partners with various bank specialists to effectively develop business relationships. Examples of specialists are Treasury Services Relationship Managers, Commercial Lenders, Small Business Lending Underwriters or Financial Advisors.
- Participates in civic activities and community events to promote growth and development and a positive image for the Bank.
- Outreach activities are recorded in Salesforce and contribute significantly to CRA and Fair Lending requirements.
- Maintains and projects the Bank’s professional reputation by serving in leadership positions within the community.
- Collaborates with other internal departments to drive sales and referrals and ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Serves as a client liaison to effectively onboard new clients and support ongoing efforts to deepen and advance the customer relationship. Delivers prompt and thorough responses to questions, requests, and follows-up action items.
- With an emphasis on high standards of personal service, responsible for all phases of the sales life cycle including lead generation and sourcing, utilization of relevant systems, following applicable policies, leveraging product knowledge, assessing credit worthiness of prospects, and facilitating communication between the Commercial team and the customer.
- Must maintain an excellent knowledge of bank deposit and credit products.
- Must maintain an excellent knowledge of bank technology (internal use and client facing).
- Provides annual reviews and servicing of business deposit and / or credit relationships.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of new and current regulations.
- Other duties as assigned will be the responsibility of the job.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 3 years of business development or sales experience within the financial services industry.
- Must have proven experience successfully building and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree or an additional 4 years of business banking sales experience.
- Must be driven, accountable, hardworking, goals-oriented and a self-starter.
- Exceptional business development and people skills to market the Bank and oneself in all situations, whether during or after business hours. This includes being able to identify banking opportunities and refer the client to the appropriate person.
- Maintains and applies proficient understanding of the Bank’s credit policy, customer eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of timely and accurate loan applications and account opening packages.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and intuitively, with high comprehension and effectively convey a response that promotes a positive impression. Ability to provide reliable and accurate information that will instill customer confidence.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to make sound decisions of all types, with little hesitation and after thorough consideration of relevant data. Demonstrate critical thinking skills to recognize and anticipate problems as well as implement optimal solutions.
- Must be able to drive and have transportation to meet with prospects and attend community events.
