Business Banking Consultant
The Business Banking Consultant is responsible for growing the business customer base with our current and potential business customers through outside sales. This is done by soliciting new business accounts, adding new services for existing customers, and servicing existing accounts. Under general supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures the Business Banking Consultant, expands business and customers relationships with FFNWB. Responsible for meeting client needs through a wide range of quality products and services by maximizing safety and soundness, customer loyalty and return to the shareholders. Incumbents have developed an understanding of consumer and commercial lending functions and have a full understanding of business objectives of the bank, underwriting guidelines, and the departments' programs and financial goals.
1,500 Sign-On Bonus applied after first 30 days.
Primary Responsibilities
- Open consumer and business deposit accounts
- Growing business through outside sales. This role is expected to work in the community with our customers no less than 50% of work time, if possible.
- Marketing our business products and services, opening new business accounts, setting up new services such as remote deposit capture, online banking, and constantly evaluating and serving the needs of our current business customers.
- Participates in community activities to increase bank visibility.
- Establishes the credit worthiness of credit applicants by interviewing applicants and using active listening / probing skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Gathers required information for credit account application, explains loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements and arranges notification and disbursement
- Develops, implements and monitors sales plans and activities that will achieve / exceed sales target goals
- Other duties as assigned
