Role : Process and close first mortgages according to secondary market guidelines, HELOC's, Home Equity and Land / Lot loans while ensuring that members receive quality mortgage loan service according to credit union policies, practices and procedures. Receive calls and inquiries from credit Union staff regarding questions on various mortgage loan programs, Freddie Mac guidelines, internal FFCU procedures and mortgage interest rates.
- Process and fund mortgage loans within established timeframes ensuring that all required mortgage disclosures are complete, accurate and meet compliance regulations.
- Maintain working knowledge of the Credit Union's established policies, procedures, mortgage loan standards, mortgage products, mortgage rates and governmental regulations pertaining to mortgage loans which includes monthly ongoing educational requirements.
Experience & Skills Required : Three to Five years of similar or related experience. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as a friendly and professional demeanor. Must possess basic computer and keyboard skills, ten key calculator, and Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
Education : A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship or on the job experience programs.
