Duties And Responsibilities
- Managed an assigned corporate loan portfolio daily, focusing on structured finance, asset-based lending, and other complex credits.
- Preparing Preflight Memo’s, Term Sheets, and Commitment Letters as necessary
- Engaging 3 rd parties such as Legal, Collateral Reviewers, and Consultants as needed
- Communicating with Clients to negotiate covenants, interest rates, fees, and all other loan terms and structures on behalf of the Bank.
- Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs and completing all required and assigned training by established due dates.
- May attend and represent FFB in various syndication opportunities and other Lender meetings.
- Cross-sell the Bank’s numerous wholesale and retail Bank products where applicable
- Accurate and timely review of borrower financial statements
- Maintain commercial loan files to ensure documentation is organized and complete in electronic files for third-party reviewers as needed.
- Monitors ongoing borrower compliance with loan covenants and financial reporting requirements on all assigned loans.
- Ensure that all aspects of requested credit accommodations meet regulatory requirements and achieve profitable loan objectives, which have a significant impact on the Bank’s profitability.
- Maintain a complete understanding of the Bank’s lending objectives, its credit policies and procedure, and the underwriting process, as well as various Bank lending products; this includes but is not limited to Shared National Credits, Mortgage Servicing Rights, Business Lines of Credit, Business Equipment Loans and Lines, and Owner Occupied Commercial Real Estate Loans
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective Borrower(s) and all Guarantor(s) and present facts to the Corporate Banking Director and Regional Credit Officer
- Recommend approval of loans, declination of loans, or required changes in the amount, interest rate, or loan structure to ensure conformity with the Bank’s credit policy.
- Have a thorough understanding and speak knowledgeably about the various loan programs, loan procedures, and loan forms.
- Understands and complies with the requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to the position.
- Responsible for ensuring that approved loans adhere to the Bank’s credit policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business administration or financial field preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of lending experience and credit analysis training at a financial institution, including loan documentation, and defining/assessing credit risk.
- Must have strong knowledge of credit analysis, including real property analysis and valuation, real estate lending, commercial loan underwriting and financial, and credit analysis.
- Must be able to comprehend, analyze, and interpret information regarding financial statements, tax returns, and other information for more complicated commercial loan transactions.
- Must be familiar with business entity documentation including partnership agreements, trust agreements, corporate documentation, and limited liability companies.
- Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, organize, analyze, and produce in a high-volume, deadline-driven production workgroup.
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
