First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an analytical, detail oriented Credit Underwriter with great communication skills to join the Credit Department tea,. Under supervision, the Credit Underwriter will prepare credit requests and annual reviews for existing credit facilities and analyze financial statements and underwrite credit requests of the bank’s commercial customers, with a focus on low complexity credits. The underwriting includes the assessment of credit, structural, business and financial risk of the borrower. The analysis will include spreading of financial statements and preparation of cash flow to support credit underwriting and financial analysis.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $62,000- $72,500 / annually; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ( hours may vary )
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration related fields; and/or equivalent work experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- 1 year of experience in credit analysis
- At least 2 years of financial analysis and/or commercial lending experience preferred
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Must be organized, detail oriented and accurate when working with numbers
