First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join the Controller's Division team. In this roll, you are responsible for functions related to the operation and maintenance of the GL system. In addition, the position is responsible for the preparation of internal financial reports, regulatory reports, implementation and maintenance of special accounting projects, performance of accounting functions, and assistance with supervision of GL area personnel in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry guidelines.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (hours may vary)
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is: $54,000 - $66,000 per year; commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
- 2 years of accounting and/or banking experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- 2-3 years of GL Accounting experience.
- 2 years of accounting and/or banking experience preferred
