First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join the team in our Human Resources Group. The Senior Compensation Analyst collaborates with the Compensation Manager to design, administer and govern the Bank's compensation programs and practices including, but not limited to incentive compensation, base salary and deferred compensation. This role leads the Bank's performance management and salary review process. In addition, the Senior Compensation Analyst works closely with the Compensation Manager supporting executive compensation programs.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 / annually; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ( hours may vary )
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business, or related field; and/or equivalent work experience required
- 7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with a strong focus on compensation, payroll, or related areas, or combination of equivalent education and experience required
- SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP or similar-certification preferred
- Financial services industry experience highly desirable
- Experience in administering incentive programs highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of applications
- Strong technical knowledge of Excel required, including development of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables and lookups
- Working knowledge of Peoplesoft or other HR system highly recommended
- Precision in handling and analyzing large data sets
- Skilled in identifying market trends and aligning compensation strategies accordingly
- Ability to assess complex compensation issues and provide actionable recommendations
- Strong consultative skills to act as a trusted advisor on compensation-related decisions with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts clearly to stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple compensation projects and deadlines with high-quality results
- Customer-focused with the ability to balance organizational needs with employee satisfaction
- Self-motived to work collaboratively as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential, highly sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance and make recommendations
