First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure Department - End User Support Team. Senior Desktop Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the computer systems. This role is responsible for maintaining the computing environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system performance and participating in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of the organization.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this role is $78k - $100k/year; commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00PM; hours may vary.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience required
- Minimum of five years of experience in Information Technology field supporting and maintaining infrastructure/applications required
- Must have experience working with Windows 10, Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Power Shell, Group Policy Object & Office 365
- Ability to work onsite
- Professional certifications in technology from vendors such as Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, and/or related, or equivalent work experience with technology from these vendors preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with management and end-users
- Ability to implement process improvements through automation
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills with ability to lead, inspire and motivate team members
- Familiar with legal and technical issues involving vendor contract negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated initiative when identifying needs of issues
- Ability to handle confidential matters judiciously
