This position ensures that all company offices and facilities are kept in good repair and functioning properly by overseeing or performing periodic inspections and upkeep/repairs of a more complex nature to buildings, facilities, and equipment. Oversees custodial staff, groundskeepers, and other service providers needed to ensure all facilities are maintained and functioning properly to enhance the appearance and productivity of the company.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repair of company buildings and equipment. Contacts appropriate personnel requesting service and determines type of service/repairs needed. Consults with Supervisor, if needed, when additional service providers may be required. Maintenance and repairs to include, but not limited to, the following: • Electrical - repair of minor electrical malfunctions/installing equipment. • Plumbing - assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems. • Carpentry - alteration, repair, painting, and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and furniture. • HVAC - minor repairs to heating and air conditioning systems.
Responsible for the daily operation of all Credit Union owned/leased facilities including, but not limited to; building exterior/interior, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lighting, sound, drive-up systems, back-up power systems, elevator, and appliances.
Assist with completing courier routes between Credit Union locations and as directed by management.
Coordinate, arrange, and/or provide scheduled preventative maintenance on company buildings and equipment to reduce the likelihood and/or frequency of unscheduled repairs.
Develops and performs regular site visits and specific maintenance logs for each services facility.
Work closely with contractors, utility providers, and vendors to address and resolve issues that arise during business and non-business hours with the expectation to respond nights and/or weekends if the criticality of the situation dictates.
Obtains information and bids leading to contracts and oversees custodial, landscaping, snow removal, and other service providers needed for the buildings and facilities. Secures major equipment bids and makes recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required.
Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and compliance of company owned vehicles.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
Two to Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or equivalent work experience.
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

Physical Requirements
Able to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
