SUMMARY
The Commercial Credit Review Officer (CRO II) is responsible for evaluating portfolio quality and credit risk management practices within the commercial bank’s centralized lending group, regional markets, and specialty business lines while ensuring compliance with bank policy, strategy, and risk appetite. The CRO II works under direct supervision by a Credit Review Manager while following Credit Assurance Services (CAS) policy and procedures to perform their responsibilities and positively influence a sound credit risk management environment. They are experienced in their respective areas, communicate effectively, able to manage complex reviews, and expected to adhere with all organizational and ethical standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform credit reviews of commercial relationships across various portfolio segments, including asset-based lending, asset/equipment finance, commercial real estate, corporate banking, correspondent banking, franchise finance, energy, healthcare, mortgage warehouse, and music/sports/entertainment.
- Communicate key findings with Line and Credit Risk partners.
- Assist with examinations, including reviewing assigned credits, preparing supplemental analysis, and supporting the examination process.
- Assist with monitoring, including evaluating portfolio quality and credit risk management practices; identifying emerging risks from credit review trends and portfolio, industry, and economic information; and validating issue resolution.
- Pursue professional development opportunities and complete required training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor (4-year college) degree
- 8 to 10 years commercial credit review related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
