Job Title : Intern - Music, Sports and Entertainment Private Banking

Summary
Our 10-week internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete tasks that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the 10 weeks, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon.
Work schedule and number of hours worked weekly ( minimum : 15- 25 Hours ) are flexible, within normal business hours. Monday-Friday 10 AM to 3 PM
The Intern will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of both Commercial Banking members and MSE members, including :
- Roles and responsibilities within the Commercial Loan Process
- Learn basics of Commercial Banking by reviewing materials and inclusion on deal team discussions
- Introduction to FHB Financial Statement Spreading Standards
- Spreading financial statements in Moody's CreditLens
- Learn the fundamentals of credit analysis (Five C's of Credit)
- Exposure to Probability of Default grading
- Assist in updating credit files in nCino
- Perform industry research to assess potential (& existing) borrowers
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Learn the basics of MSE Banking and other LOBs
- Exposure to team members across the Middle Tennessee footprint
