Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position involves overseeing compliance with HUD, MSHDA and IRS regulations. The Compliance Specialist will work closely with the Compliance Director to promote a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Review tenant applications, certifications, and move-ins for eligibility and accuracy. Maintain EIV reports and assist with file audits.
- Provide compliance guidance and training to property management teams on LIHTC, HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare compliance reports, and support quarterly COL submissions.
- Identify and address compliance issues, collaborating with site staff to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- 3 years of affordable housing compliance, specifically HUD preject-based Section 8 and LIHTC.
- Familiarity with LIHTC, HUD programs, MSHDA COL software and tenant certifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property Management software (Yardi).

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
