Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental terminology, as well as the ability to maintain a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing processes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment during their visits.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in general dentistry practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with dental documentation, dental coding, and record-keeping practices.
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is an advantage.
- Ability to perform X-rays safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
