Summary:
The Driver will provide exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously assisting customers with their purchases and efficiently processing their orders. The position requires strict adherence to safety procedures while driving, loading, and transporting products and equipment. The Branch Driver will represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old with at least 3 years of safe driving experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence.
- Must be able to provide an acceptable driving history record or allow the company to obtain one.
- Must follow the Sid Harvey Industries, Inc. Driving Safety Policy.
- Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Must pass a drug test.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner, treating external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Possess knowledge of Sid Harvey products, including air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating, to meet customer needs.
- Continuously update product knowledge through available resources, stay informed about product inventory and applicability, and know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
- Accurately and safely load and unload trucks as needed.
- Check in and put away material, verify quantities and quality of received material, and maintain clear aisles and walkways.
- Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch, including straightening and cleaning the counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.
- Drive the company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups while obeying traffic laws and safety procedures, maintaining appropriate licensing, credentials, and an acceptable driving record.
- Report back orders and material discrepancies, along with any positive/negative customer feedback and potential missed opportunities to the Branch Manager.
- Accurately perform cycle counts as required.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner, following safety rules, and informing the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
- Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required.
- Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Abilities and Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, carry, and reach. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs and frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs. The employee must be able to talk or hear, read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee must apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks and be able to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
