The salary range for this position is $50,838 - $62,250 (min - midpoint). New hires typically start between the range minimum and midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Who You Are
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team is seeking a stellar organizer to plan, schedule, and implement key projects for the FIRST Robotic Competition (FRC) team. As a project implementer, you will handle relationships, facilitate team communications, update applicable program documentation and evaluation criteria, develop training materials, and communicate FIRST Robotic Competition messaging to diverse populations. Our ideal candidate will maintain a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and accuracy while handling multiple competing demands providing high-quality customer service and promoting the FIRST ethos of Gracious Professionalism®.
FIRST headquarters is in Manchester, New Hampshire, and we seek candidates based in New England or willing to relocate to New England. Although this role will have the flexibility to work remote, we are looking for candidates who can easily and frequently travel by car to our headquarters during competition season (November – May) or as needed for in-person events.

What You Will Do
Collaborate with FIRST co-workers and external parties to make sure equipment and support material is available where and when needed for regional, district, and off-season events. Additionally, you will:
- Oversee event program satisfaction survey efforts; evaluate results.
- Provide logistical, planning, implementation, and cost control support in executing Kickoff, Championship, and off-season events.
- Develop and supervise plans, schedules, third party service providers, and volunteers during FIRST Headquarters' events - both on/off site - including kickoff, filming, events, etc.
- Work directly with the FIRST warehouse staff to lead all aspects of inventory and logistics associated with FIRST Robotic Competition (FRC) event execution.
- Interface with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for our safety program including safety animation program and the team safety manual.
- FIRST Robotic Competition point of contact, for regional staff and committees, providing specific program information on policy, procedure (i.e. robot transportation exemption), and marketing/support materials.
- Work directly with key volunteer groups/committees to evaluate prior year program performance, delivery, and quality; develop and implement program improvements and enhancements.
- Run the mobile machine shop program for events and Championship.
- Requires travel to assigned events/championships.
- Requires some weekends (during program's peak season).
What We Expect
An organized individual with the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks associated with multiple competing projects with varying deadlines. We are also seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- HS diploma or GED required
- Generally, 3 years of job-related experience in areas such as logistics, operations, and/or event management
- Strong project planning, monitoring, and execution skills
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to travel 10 - 15% depending on the time of the year
