What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Associate position at First International Bank & Trust?
First International Bank and Trust is a family-owned community bank thriving in the Phoenix metro of Arizona. Our Loan Associates work with a team of Commercial Lenders, Credit Analysts, and other Loan Associates and are responsible for a variety of tasks such as documentation preparation, funding loans, loan servicing, customer support, and more.
In-Office Position
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating with 3rd party inspectors and borrower for the monitoring & funding of construction draws.
- Work with Loan Officers and Credit Analysts to input data into the loan software for documentation and underwriting purposes.
- Assist with gathering and ordering initial collateral information.
- Work with Loan Operations throughout the process of ordering and preparing loan documentation.
- Complete funding of loans according to loan terms in a timely manner.
- Ensure timely recording of lien documentation to perfect collateral.
- Process all incoming documentation including tickler management and scanning documents.
- Assist clients with inquiries and requests.
- Provide support to Loan Officers by handling loan closings in the Loan Officers absence.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from two-year college or technical school; a minimum of one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Commercial Real Estate or Commercial and Industrial Loan experience is preferred.
- Administrative experience over the last two years to handle a variety of time sensitive tasks is preferred.
- Experience with a variety of different computer programs is preferred.
- Experience with funding of construction draws is preferred.
