Retail Underwriter

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Banking Underwriter to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our loan applications meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and service.

This is an in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review loan credit, income, and collateral documents for accuracy and compliance within SLAs.
• Analyze credit history, income capacity, and collateral to assess risk and eligibility for manual underwriting.
• Ensure all loans meet policy guidelines and recommend approvals or declines.
• Communicate declines and request additional information as necessary.
• Support training and assist with loan-related inquiries.
• Maintain legal files and correspondence in an organized and compliant manner.

• Demonstrate punctuality, safety, and responsibility in all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of related experience, with retail and home equity loan underwriting experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with LoansPQ preferred.
