Job Overview: The Business Analyst is responsible for enhancing the operational efficiency and performance of our centers. This role focuses on analyzing key metrics, developing strategies for improvement, and implementing new initiatives to drive success across all centers
Location: Brighton, NY
Reports To: President/CEO
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Measuring and Improving Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Enrollment:
- Analyze FTE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase FTE enrollment.
- Collaborate with center managers to ensure consistent enrollment growth.
Measuring and Improving Payroll Percentage:
- Monitor and analyze payroll data to identify opportunities.
- Develop and execute plans to improve payroll percentage without compromising service quality.
- Provide regular reports on payroll performance and make recommendations for optimization.
Optimizing Center Performance:
- Conduct evaluations of center scorecards to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance overall center performance.
- Work closely with center staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Developing and Implementing New Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Identify key metrics that align with organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement new KPIs to measure and drive center performance.
- Provide training and support to center staff on the importance and use of KPIs.
Evaluating and Setting Tuition Rates Annually:
- Conduct market research to evaluate competitive tuition rates.
- Analyze financial data to determine appropriate tuition adjustments.
- Develop proposals for annual tuition rates and present them to senior management for approval.
Supporting Integration of New Centers:
- Assist in the planning and execution of integrating new centers into the organization.
- Provide training and support to new center staff to ensure a smooth transition.
- Monitor and report on the performance of new centers during the integration phase.
Identifying and Prioritizing Functional and Technical Needs:
- Identify and prioritize the organization's functional and technical needs and requirements.
- Use SQL and Excel to analyze large data sets and identify trends for improvement.
- Compile charts, tables, and other elements of data visualization for decision-making.
Creating Financial Models:
- Create financial models to support business decisions related to center performance, payroll, and tuition rates.
- Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and performing both variance and financial analysis.
Enterprise Architecture and Business Strategy:
- Understand business strategies, goals, and requirements, and plan enterprise architecture to support the organization’s structure.
- Use financial analysis and forecasting to align strategies with organizational objectives and improve overall performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operational analysis or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the education sector or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of financial and operational KPIs.
- Familiarity with enrollment and payroll management systems
- Familiarity with Paylocity, Sage Intacct, Kangarootime, Procare a plus.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
