Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental assisting techniques, including the use of advanced technology and adherence to safety protocols.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety standards for radiation exposure.
• Perform vital signs checks to monitor patient health before and during procedures.
• Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing precise dental impressions.
• Assist in general dentistry procedures and help with dental sleep medicine and TMJ procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout all dental procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Manage patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
• Gather information from patients as necessary
• Educate patients as necessary

Requirements

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of dental systems and procedures.
• Proficient in taking X-rays and proficiency and strong understanding and practice of aseptic techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
