Pay: $43,000 – $45,000 per year
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various HR functions, ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our HR department. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about employee relations, compliance, and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the recruitment and hiring process for caregivers, including application processing, background checks, testing, interviews, and reference checks.
Conduct caregiver onboarding, orientation, and training while maintaining up-to-date employee files.
Maintain accurate records related to personnel, compensation, benefits, taxes, attendance, performance evaluations, and terminations.
Input, update, and manage employee and payroll data within internal systems.
Ensure compliance with all FirstLight Home Care policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state labor laws.
Provide ongoing training and support for caregivers as needed.
Participate in agency quality assurance reviews and service evaluations.
Handle monthly on-call duties and direct incoming calls to the appropriate team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in human capital management systems (e.g., Ceridian, SAP)
Requires proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and
scheduling program
H.S. Diploma or GED, some college or two years related experience and/or training is
preferred
Experience in home care or knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred
Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly
Experience with payroll and benefits administration
Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
