What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant Guiding Manager position at First Light Resorts Llc?

Ideal candidates will also have extensive in-person customer service and front desk/reservations experience. Having a background in Outdoor Experiential Education and Wilderness Medicine is preferred. We welcome career-oriented candidates.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

- Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy, and care.
- Assists guests with requests and/or complaints after regular office hours.
- Provides direction and oversight to Naturalist Guides in absence of the Recreation Manager.
- Works with Recreation Desk Staff and the Assistant Onsite Manager to maintain cleanliness standards in Recreation Areas.
- Ensures Naturalist Guides maintain cleanliness standards for tour vehicles.
- Participates in departmental strategy discussions and determination of goals and priorities.
- Works with the Recreation Manager to maintain tour vehicles and equipment.
- Stocks and cleans the guide supply area.
- Trains and does performance evaluations for Naturalist Guides.
- Works with the Recreation Manager to provide reports and itineraries to and maintain relationships with Yosemite National Park and Stanislaus National Forest.
- Performs functions of a Naturalist Guide
- Maintains guest relations by providing information to visitors and arranging guided and unguided recreation opportunities.
- Completes auditing procedures for the guided trip reservation system and point of sale systems.
- Uses best judgment and follows Recreation Emergency Action Plan in absence of Recreation Manager
- Possess and implement conflict resolution skills
- Complete department/shift checklists and/or reports for relevant shifts.
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by turning in maintenance Service Requests.

Supervisory responsibilities
- To take necessary steps to ensure excellent guest service.
- To utilize active listening to de-escalate conflict for both internal and external guests
- To respond immediately to any unsafe condition.
Work environment and Physical demands
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
- Ability to stand and move continuously.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum.
- Occasional twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
- Ability to walk 5 miles on uneven terrain.
- Can drive for extended periods of time.

- Full time position available immediately
- Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both Onsite and Offsite
- Potential Overnight shifts required
- Regular schedule with specific days off will be established
