Description
We are looking for an engaging Retail Manager to join the team and create a welcoming, professional, and clean environment for our guests at Evergreen Lodge. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing amazing guest service and brings a warm and positive attitude to the Retail team. The Retail Manager engages with guests and staff throughout their shift, which requires the ability to provide direction as well as attentive, caring guest service. The Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks that help support the General Store workflow by working with, training, and supporting the retail team. The Manager also plays a key role in engaging with our guests and enriching the guest's experience. Ideal candidates have been top performers in their previous roles and are excited to help make a place like the Lodge even more special and memorable for our guests.

Essential functions / Key Responsibilities

- Work to create a safe environment to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
- When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by contacting others as needed and / or submitting Maintenance Service Requests
- Train all retail staff on POS, cash handling, backstock organization, espresso machine use and maintenance, stocking, merchandising, receiving merchandise, cleaning, daily duties and guest interactions.
- Identify and communicate to the Retail Manager the needs of the business and if stock levels are low in any areas
- Places weekly food and beverage orders with vendors
- Acquire current product knowledge to share with guests
- Create a positive and productive work environment
- Create forms of communication that encourage teamwork and accountability.
- When opportunities arise, support interns in our Internship Program to help them be most successful in their work and at the Lodge
- Assist with other Lodge needs as may arise from time to time
