Description

Rush Creek Lodge is looking for an engaging Wellness Desk Attendant to join the team and create a welcoming, professional, and clean environment for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about wellness and brings a warm and positive attitude to the Wellness Spa team. The Wellness Desk Attendant engages with guests and staff throughout their shift, which requires the ability to provide direction as well as attentive, caring guest service. The Wellness Desk Attendants schedule appointments, describe treatments, check-in guests, collect payments, order and serve food, provide spa tours, and assist guests with retail purchases. The Wellness Desk Attendant also shares responsibility for maintenance of and cleaning of the spa, which includes communicating needs with the supervisor or appropriate departments and teams. An important duty of Wellness Desk Attendants is engaging with our guests and enriching their experience through exceptional hospitality, as well as inspiring guests to continue their Wellness journey when they head home.

Qualifications

Essential functions / Key Responsibilities

Directly provide exceptional, caring hospitality
Work safely and supervise others to avoid injuries and accidents, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
Assist with guest check-ins for spa appointments
Finalize payments for Spa services
Seek feedback from guests to gauge and improve their experience
Oversee and audit guest scheduling to maximize guest usage and accommodation
Assist with answering phones and scheduling appointments
Audit emails from guests and respond to all guest correspondence
Develop service and product knowledge
Promote spa services and retail goods
Assist with ongoing and daily cleaning tasks

Remove slip hazards on wet room floor

Clean restrooms and guest areas

Vacuum or sweep carpet

Stock paper products, restrooms, towels

Empty garbage receptacles, dirty towel bins

Clean lockers and keep storage areas tidy

When finding unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns, address them immediately by contacting others as needed and / or submitting Maintenance Service Requests

Move quietly throughout treatment areas, including hallways, opening and closing doors, and wet room

When opportunities arise, support interns in our Internship Program to help them be most successful in their work and at the Lodge

Ensure professional language and demeanor are used at all times

Attend Wellness Desk Attendant and Wellness Spa meetings as required

Assist with other lodge needs as may arise from time to time

Supervisory responsibilities

Navigate through staff and guest issues / conflict

Take necessary steps to ensure exceptional guest service & hospitality

Respond immediately to any unsafe condition

Work environment / physical demands

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outsider in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions

Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs

Ability to stand and move continuously

Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum

Stocking, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets / bathrooms

Working with required chemicals

Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours

Details

Full time position available immediately

40 hours of paid time off per year

Healthcare benefits available after 90 days

401K eligible with company match after 1 year

Regular schedule with specific days off will be established

Room and board available for fixed weekly cost both onsite and offsite
