A well established property management company based in Astoria/Long Island City is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This individual will assist the Maintenance & Repairs department in taking calls, entering work orders, and responding to complaints.
Prior property management related experience preferred but not required. Will train the right individual.
Duties include:
- Take calls and emails from tenants and documenting complaints and needed repairs
- Entering work orders in database system
- Contacting supers, handymen, and/or appropriate contractors to address repairs
- Keep track of repair progress and follow up with residents and owners/landlords
- Assist in resolving building violations
- Communicate with owners and tenants in a professional manner
- Follow policies and procedures to assure the property is well managed and documents properly maintained

- Strong verbal and writing skills

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Desired Experience/Skills:
- 2 years of office or customer service
- General office and computer knowledge
- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred but not required
