Youth Ministry Summer Intern
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Time Frame: May 18, 2025 – August 16, 2025
Status: Part time (10-15 hours/week)
Compensation: $16.50/hour stipends for camp and mission trips
Job Summary
FMC Midlothian is seeking a Youth Ministry Summer Intern to assist in leading and supporting our Youth Ministry during the summer months. This internship provides an opportunity for individuals exploring a call to ministry by offering practical hands-on experience in leadership, event coordination, discipleship, and student engagement.
FMC Midlothian’s Youth Ministry has 45 students in 6th grade to 12th grade. The church offers Bible studies, Sunday School classes, youth worship services, special activities, and opportunities for our youth to serve our local community and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan for and facilitate discussion in weekly small group meetings, Bible studies, and Sunday School classes for middle and high school students
· Attend and participate in summer camps, retreats and other summer events
· Work primarily with the youth pastor, volunteers and church leadership
· Assist youth pastor in managing and creating content for FMC Youth social media accounts
· Assist youth pastor with administrative tasks, including email communication, event registration and attendance tracking
· Perform other duties as assigned
