What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Physical Security Manager position at First Mid-Illinois Bancshares?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Develop and ensure that Physical Security program components (opening and closing procedures, security incident responses and procedures, documentation, training, retention, etc.) are current, effective, and aligned with business priorities.
- Responsible for building and maintaining standard operating procedures for security expectations and requirements at all locations company-wide.
- Provide leadership and oversight to security coordinators to ensure compliance with security expectations and requirements in order to maintain a physical security protocol enterprise-wide.
- Assign and verify completion of applicable on-site robbery prevention and physical security training.
- Manage and report to leadership on security incidents and threats.
- Develop and oversee collection of physical security reporting requirements and follow-up with respondents as deemed necessary.
- Develop, monitor, and manage KRI metrics and risk trends for reporting to management and appropriate committees.
- Oversee the overall physical security strategy, including growth and maintenance of the physical security program (both technology and practices / procedures.
- Maintain working relationship with security vendors company-wide.
- Manage all security-related technology and equipment company-wide. Plan, develop, and implement the annual physical security budget.
- Respond to security issues and events by working with vendors, facilities, and / or branch personnel.
- Remediate associated help desk tickets or alerts related to physical security.
- Chair the Physical Security Working Group. Prepare reporting to applicable management committees and the Board of Directors.
- Establish senior management and board awareness of the risks associated with physical security and supply the Board with an annual update.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from auditors and regulators during reviews in respective area.
- Availability to respond to emergencies outside of working hours and flexibility to travel on short notice to address significant situations.
- Network with other banks or law enforcement for security issues and best practices.
- Complete annual training associated with job functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
