What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst Intern position at First Mid?
Assist with completion of loan credit analyses for new and existing commercial loan relationships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform credit analyses and financial statement reviews on commercial credit relationships.
- Learn the commercial loan approval process by assisting with completion credit memos for various approval committees.
- Monitor credit requests for adherence to written lending policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Complete required training associated with job function.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Possess the willingness and patience to embrace complex, detailed financial analysis projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High level of confidence and integrity in order to maintain independent judgment and privacy of customer and Bank information.
Education/Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or commensurate banking experience.
- Must have obtained junior or senior status by Summer of 2025. Spring 2025 graduates will also be considered.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Office.
