What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Client Services Assistant position at First Mid?
Provides sales, administrative and compliance support to the financial advisors of the Wealth Management department. Performs specialized and confidential duties relating to customers and officers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides proactive operational support to all Financial Advisors, which will include all administrative, compliance and sales related duties.
- Assist the team in many areas, including answering in-bound calls, preparing new account and service paperwork, providing customer service both in person and over the phone, facilitating and resolving client service requests, and scheduling client meetings.
- Stays current on latest departmental technology and resources available through our broker/dealer to ensure that department is running as efficient as possible.
- Stays current with latest compliance rules and regulations to ensure departmental compliance.
- Act as a customer contact person for all departmental clients entering the Raymond James Office.
- Assist staff relating to administrative duties and resolving customer questions.
- Cross-sell Bank product and services in a professional manner.
- Completed required training associated with job function.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under strict deadlines.
- Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
- High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and prospects in a professional manner.
- Adequate knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
- Ability to adapt to the quickly changing demands of the Securities industry.

This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e., bonus, incentives, and/or commission).
