We are searching for a Centralized Loan Clerk that will be mission driven, collaborative with a good work ethic and desire to help people while being a team player.
General Purpose
We are a growing Community Bank looking for someone that loves to help people.
The loan clerk provides administrative support to lenders and loan staff in gathering information required for Consumer and Commercial Loan Applications. This position has extensive contact with customers and the public including in person, digitally, and on the telephone.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare all documentation for new loans, modifications, change in terms and renewals
- Assign coding – Type, Call, Referral, Collateral and Concentration Codes
- Verify customer is not on the OFAC list
- Verify customer’s military status
- Check fees – if no fees are included communicate with loan officers to administer correct fees to the loan
- Provide accurate loan closing packets to our loan officers with all appropriate paperwork needed
- Maintain and update loan number tickler system
- Prepare board packets for monthly board meetings (New Loans Report)
- Reviews booked loans and modifications for errors – RT002 File Maintenance Report
- Provide good customer service (i.e., notarize, answering phones, etc.)
- Provide backup for Booking & Loan Clerk duties as needed
- Process all manual loan advances for customers and update ledgers
- Mail out all payment notices, i.e. past due, coming due
- Help customers on phone when asked
- Process advances for loan customers in the Las Animas office
Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
· Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service, both in person and on the telephone.
· Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative and secretarial skills, including composing business correspondence (letters and electronic) to internal and external customer.
· Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgement and make and act upon decisions with minimal supervision.
Experience
· Previous bank experience is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
