Role
Process transactions and be an effective information source for our customers: in lobby, drive-thru window or by telephone, to accurately and efficiently assist with their transactions while assuring a positive experience for each customer and minimizing wait time. Assist customers with a wide variety of services and advise as to how best utilize company products and services in order to meet personal financial goals and provide the highest quality customer service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate efficiency with transactions and utilization of time in order to assist as many customers as possible without negatively impacting the quality of the transaction. Verbally confirm intended transactions with customer to assure needs are met and minimize redoing. Open various new accounts, process necessary information and educate the customers as to services available as a result. Assist with a wide variety of customer services including open/close Certificates, maintain Safe Deposit Boxes, notary services, fraud issues, etc. Explain and expedite the opening and closing, transfer and rollover of IRA certificates. Assist customers with opening CD's and educate customers as to penalties, earnings, etc.
Assists loan officer or other loan personnel in preparing, reviewing, closing, funding and preparing loan package for boarding. Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries.
Create and maintain a clean, neat, pleasant work environment by maintaining a professional look ( i.e. dress, posture, attitude, etc.) positive outlook and behavior toward customer and co-workers.
Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed; provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications. Regularly completes other branch duties such as cash value, keeping ATM supplied, training new tellers, etc. , as requested.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions. Must know FLO operating system. Must have knowledge of debits and credits.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled environment and outside in sometimes inclement weather.

Must be able to perform job functions under independently and with limited supervision. And work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
