Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Loan Admin. Assist obtains required documentation and completes required forms to assist the Loan Officer in securing a loan for the customer.
Typical Duties:
- Assist the loan officer with research of loans
- Organizes new and renewal loan documents
- Responsible for gathering correct customer (new/existing) information
- Gather loan information for loan processing and review loan documents for closings
- May assist with actual closing
- Issues loan proceed checks (Official checks)
- Responsible for filing and confirming UCC documents
- Completes quality checks of loan packets, document deficiencies, resolves exceptions and past dues with Loan Officers
- When necessary, assists with reports and audits in the evaluation of loan operations performance
- Ensures loans and processes meet compliance standards
- Accept loan applications
- Balances new loans
- Close small loans
- Complete, process and maintain applicable paperwork and records
- Occasionally take documents to attorneys’ offices
- Helps customers by answering questions and responding to requests
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping account information confidential
- Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity. Adhering to both internal and external audit requirements
- Assist Lenders at other locations by traveling to the Lender’s location.
- Prepare draw request for lender’s
- Work Cash Collateral Accounts for lender’s
- Work Lender’s NSF’s
- Other job related duties and special duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Two to five years related banking experience
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages & ratios)
- Knowledge of computer and software application
- Knowledge of ten-key number pad
- Ability to work under time constraints, use good judgment, and act in a tactful, professional, non-irritated manner while dealing with the public and co-workers
- Must have a professional appearance and manner
- Effectively communicates using verbal, non-verbal, and written skills
- Ability to work alongside co-workers in a team environment
- Reliable attendance
Certifications Required: Have NMLS Number or be able to obtain one
Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
Maneuvering to and around equipment
Bending, stooping, and reaching
Utilizing keyboard
Monitoring computer screens
May include viewing computer/CCTV monitor(s) and detailed work requiring close vision
Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds
Answering/making phone calls
Communicating with others
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and noise from office equipment. Travel to various branch locations may be required.
