Description:

Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service. Maintain loan accounting and documentation file systems. Perform all duties in conformity with applicable regulations and bank policies. Work under limited supervision with moderate latitude for independent judgement.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for originated loan file data entry review. Quality Control of all loan file maintenance using system reports to verify accuracy of information as per department procedures.
  • Utilizing a QC checklist, compare core system to source documents and boarding data sheet to ensure loan was booked correctly.
  • Utilizing QC reports each month to ensure loans information is correct and accurate.
  • Perform quality review of the core loan system for both consumer and commercial loans.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly internally specified requirements surrounding successful productivity requirements without compromising loan quality.
  • Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Federal and Bank compliance policies.
  • Identifies all red flags within a loan file and ensures they are addressed accordingly.
  • Be available as needed to cross train and preform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Perform regular flood, Reg B, and other audits as needed.
  • Review and monitor collateral tracking system.
  • Review and monitor workflow queue for renewals, maintenance, and release of lien.
  • Review and preform quality control checks on Credit Bureau Reporting and Loan Policy Exceptions.
  • Utilizes problem solving skills, external resources, and internal resources to resolve issues.
  • Perform follow up reviews on internal and external audits.
  • Perform various reviews for coding reports. (DTI, GeoCoding, Real estate Coding, Joint Applicant, CD review, etc)
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure document scan quality and all documents within the packages have been scanned and indexed.
  • May assist with special projects designated by supervisor or manager.
  • Escalates complex problems (i.e. production, system problems and/or collateral documentation issues) to supervisor or manager.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside opportunities for continued education and training.

Bank Secrecy Act Duties:

  • In the performance of respective tasks and duties, this position must maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security, and Bank policies and procedures.

  • In compliance with all applicable regulations and Bank policies, this position is expected to successfully produce quality work within deadlines, with or without supervision; interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors, while always respecting the need for confidentiality of customer information. The employee will work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Furthermore, the employee is encouraged to actively represent the Bank to customers and the general public in ways that promote the integrity, validity, and mission of the Bank by participating in community organizations, events, and activities. The employee is also expected to maintain a commitment to continuing education in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside training opportunities in all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected, and appropriate attire is required at all times, while either performing job functions or representing the Bank at outside events and activities.

Requirements:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduation or equivalent.
  • Two years of bank loan operations experience, compliance/audit experience or loan support experience.

Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend various types of loan and related support documentation.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and technically apply written policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good basic math and typing skills.
  • Ability to use bank equipment, computer systems including PC applications using spreadsheet, word processing, and database software.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and independence.
  • Ability to diplomatically, yet effectively, communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of Bank staff, customers, and other related parties.
