Job Purpose:
The Credit Risk & Loan Operations Officer is responsible for managing the risk and operations of the loan department, ensuring sound credit practices, compliance, and overall quality of the loan portfolio.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
➢Loan Operation Management
-Oversees and manages loan administration/operations department of the bank (hiring,developing, coaching, reviewing, disciplining, scheduling, etc.)
-Ensures that the loan operations staff completes their assigned job duties with a high level ofefficiency and accuracy
-Develops and maintains policies and comprehensive procedure manuals related to all aspectsof loan operations in accordance with all regulatory requirements
-Develop and create reports as needed for research and analytical purposes
➢Manages and oversees the preparation of financial documents such as business reports andfinancial calculations
-Monthly, quarterly, and annual Board of Director (BOD) reports –established list
-Quarterly Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) & Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) calculationand reporting package
-Quarterly FHLB Submission
-FHLB MVC Audit
-Annual Loan Policy Exception Tracking to BOD
➢Audit in Loan Area
-Supplies pertinent information for all lending area regulatory examinations and audits
-Oversees the processes and follow-up related to all regulatory examinations, audits or loanreviews
-Prepares responses to audits, loan reviews and examination findings regarding loan operationor credit risk areas
➢Credit Risk Management
-Oversees and manages credit analysis department of the bank (hiring, developing, coaching,reviewing, disciplining, scheduling, etc.)
-Provide overall leadership and risk assessment for loan related compliance issues
-Review all credit presentations to loan committee to ensure accuracy, completeness andindependence
-Oversee and ensure efficient and accurate preparation of loan presentations, annual reviewsand loan file documentation
-Develop, monitor & provide management reports related to bank’s loan portfolio
-Manage loan portfolio for appropriate mix, ensuring profitability without significant risk tothe Bank
-Ensure protection of the Bank’s interests by ensuring adequate file documentation and adherence to Bank policy and to laws/regulations applicable to department operations
-Manage all aspects of the bank-wide credit policy, credit administration and loan review
-Monitor compliance with Loan Policy and appropriate regulations
-Communicate credit risk issues to the board and management
➢Other
-Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations and industry best practices
-Serves on the Credit Committee and Supervisor Committee
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related industry experience (7 years)
- Extensive experience in credit risk management, lending and banking operations
- Strong aptitude for problem solving
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to interpret regulations and laws relating to Financials
- Ability to multi-task and organize priorities
- Level of computer literacy with knowledge of Word, Excel, and other applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain a high level of focus and accuracy
- Proven teamwork skills
- Ability to work well on your own without management guidance
- Ability to develop and interpret reports and inform management
- Maintain a focused, helpful, friendly and polite attitude

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
