Summary of the Job:
The Emerging Technology Architect will provide strategic technical leadership to help position the bank to meet the challenges of the future including growth, reliability, sustainability, and flexibility
About This Role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify emerging technology trends that warrant further research. These trends should be across horizons H1, H2 and H3.
- Research emerging technology trends that address opportunities and/or threats to the business
- Lead technical discovery sessions to deep dive and prototype solutions, reducing implementation risk for technology teams. This will include full stack development
- Collaborate directly with Enterprise Architecture teammates to stay on top of and address key initiatives, architecture standards, and technical roadmaps.
- Help guide modernization across the enterprise with a focus on cloud adoption strategies, hybrid infrastructure evolution and breaking up of large, legacy monoliths
- Possess expert knowledge and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in multiple technical areas
- Gain a high degree of business acumen and work directly with business partners to align technology research with business-driven roadmaps
- Educate senior leadership within technology and the business on trends and research/prototype results
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 15 years of IT experience with 5 years in architecture and 2 years in enterprise architecture
- Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies, API frameworks, and microservices architecture
- Experience with modern development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Proven collaborator, with a focus on relationships and teamwork
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Architectural skills spanning a breadth of technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of banking systems and financial services technology
- Experience with core banking platforms and integration patterns
- Experience in a highly regulated environment
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $105,443.00-$179,253.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
