Job Summary:
My Kind of Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Operations Specialist to support our daily banking operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of our internal processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking operations, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support:
- Process and reconcile daily transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, and check processing.
- Ensure the accuracy of account maintenance activities, including new account setups and customer record updates.
- Assist with deposit operations, electronic banking services, and fraud prevention processes.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Maintain adherence to banking regulations, internal policies, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities per regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, and quality control processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Customer Service & Internal Collaboration:
- Provide support to frontline staff on operational inquiries and transaction processing.
- Assist customers with online banking, account discrepancies, and transaction research.
- Work closely with other departments, such as IT and Compliance, to enhance operational workflows.
Technology & Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency.
- Support system upgrades and testing for operational banking software.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years of banking operations or related financial services experience preferred.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with core banking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
