The Relationship Banker is an essential member of the Retail branch team, making a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers and communities. The Relationship Banker is a sales oriented role that will develop profitable new business along with providing ongoing customer service to existing relationships. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Presenting traditional and non-traditional bank products and services to customers and prospective customers
- Taking loan applications and referring larger credit opportunities
- Expanding account relationships by referring customers to other bank products and services
What will you be doing in this role?
- Gathering customer and potential customer information; analyzing customer needs; presenting suitable products; asking for the business and closing the sale
- Making sales calls individually or accompanying calling officer and participating in community activities
- Suggesting market strategies that could lead to new business
- Making decisions regarding Branch Operations to provide direction for other Branch employees when the Branch Manager is unavailable
- Serving as a liaison between the customer and bank products and services to ensure successful outcomes

What will you need?
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in the Financial Services industry. Undergraduate degree a plus
- Two to five years of customer service and sales experience. Previous experience in banking or financial services preferred
- Understanding of banking products and services, including deposit accounts and loans
- Reputation for excellence in customer service and relationship development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Some flexibility to work outside of normal business hours required
- Proficient in use of PC based products including Word, Excel and Outlook. Aptitude to quickly learn and use electronic banking product applications
