Position Overview : The role of the Credit Analyst is to evaluate a client's credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in lending them money.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Analyze tax returns and financials for lending team.
- Prepare annual reviews on existing commercial customers.
- Spread financials on new projects given by commercial officers and put together a credit presentation for the proposed loan.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Complete all verifications on deposits.
- Update ticklers as financials come in and pull tickler report for financials and annual reviews due each month and e-mail to officers.
- Prepare loan files for internal and external auditors.
- Write narrative for both credit presentations and annual reviews explaining the differences in numbers year over year.
- Communicate with lenders about customer concerns.
- Work with other banks on participation loans and regularly meet with CLO on progress
- Make recommendations on loan grades.
- Other Duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications : This is an onsite position and normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Must have a strong background in accounting and familiarity with loan documents. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Financial Services experience. Strong analytical skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in MS Office Products. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to be a self-starter and well organized in thought and action.
Education and Experience : Associate degree or higher in a related field or equivalent related job experience required. Three or more years of previous credit analysis preferred.
Physical Requirements : This position requires a high degree of mobility. May be subject to prolonged sitting / standing, frequent use of hands and upper body to manipulate / grasp objects / branch equipment, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, lifting of 1 - 15 lbs. Must be able to travel by vehicle to branches / meetings / seminars, and so forth.
