Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and that funds are disbursed correctly. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services, title processing, and compliance regulations, as well as excellent communication skills to communicate with clients, lenders, and real estate agents.
Responsibilities
- Manage the escrow process from initiation to closing, ensuring all documents are prepared accurately and on time.
- Review title insurance commitments and related documents.
- Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Collaborate with lenders, real estate agents, lawyers and other company closers and title examiners on transactional and title issues encountered on specific transactions
- Perform basic math calculations related to closing costs, disbursements, and prorations.
- Prepare closing statements and perform residential closings.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the escrow process, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial services and real estate transactions.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of real estate transactional experience with direct customer contact.
- A proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- The ability to proactively address and resolve issues heading into a real estate closing.
- A good understanding of Florida real estate closing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability, and an ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Strong customer service, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
- Book of business is highly incentivized.
- Licensed Title Agent a plus
