We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This position will cover the Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in real estate transactions, including residential and commercial properties.
- Review and draft real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct title examinations and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Oversee and facilitate real estate closings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes.
- Stay current with real estate laws and regulations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
- Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings as necessary.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate law, with a focus on title insurance and real estate transactions.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in legal research and use of relevant technology.
- Book of Business is a plus.
- Licensed in CT is a plus.
- Zoning and Eviction experience is a plus.
