What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits Coordinator position at First Nations Community HealthSource?
Under the general supervision of the Dental Clinic Program Manager, the Dental Benefits Coordinator is responsible for performing and coordinating administrative tasks (e.g., answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, calling patients to remind them of their appointments, etc.) and billing tasks (e.g., collecting payments, billing, utilizing Dentrix software, etc.). The Dental Benefits Coordinator will work with all dental clinic staff and assist in the daily administrative and billing operations of the clinic. The Benefits Coordinator must work well with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Must work as team member in the delivery of dental services, must be reliable and responsible and adhere to operational expectations of the department. A committment to providing excellent customer service is essential.
Requirements Include:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in a medical/dental office setting.
Prior dental billing experience preferred.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Bilingual a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
