Promote the First New York Retirement and Investment Services Program to credit union members and staff resulting in scheduling 10-20 appointments per week. Support the First New York Retirement and Investment Services Program representative(s) in all administrative capacities, which includes, but is not limited to : fulfill database, filing, communication and clerical needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing
Responsible for telephoning and following up with members to schedule and confirm appointments for First New York Retirement and Investment Services Representative in accordance with goals set annually. Responsible for telephoning members from credit union approved lists to schedule appointments.
Generate high quality appointments for financial management services.
Organize and promote seminars.
Organize all branch lobbies with marketing materials on an ongoing basis.
Generate staff enthusiasm for First New York Retirement and Investment Services through internal promotions.
Participate in target marketing to entire field of membership.
Department Lead related to ongoing Marketing focus / campaigns
Ongoing – focused projects determined by Advisors.
Administrative and Clerical
Responsible for sending out all information to members pertaining to First New York Retirement and Investment Services.
Assisting with compliance and regulations. Responsible for maintaining compliance files for correspondence and advertising.
Prepare and process all required paperwork for First New York Retirement and Investment Services representative(s) to be licensed / appointed with states / companies – ongoing.
Responsible for monitoring and tracking all referrals from First New York FCU team members.
Responsible for ordering all operational and marketing supplies.
Participate in monthly teleconference meetings with First New York Retirement and Investment Services district management. Participate in quarterly teleconference meetings with other Coordinators nationwide.
Utilizes LPL Brokerage computer applications, i.e. Sales Force, Advisor Workspace, Investigo, and Netx 360 to assist the First New York Retirement and Investment Services representative(s) in managing client accounts.
Pursue electronic efficiencies on an ongoing basis, including assisting clients with online access.
Responsible for inputting client information to open brokerage accounts via LPL Brokerage online account opening application, complete processing of paperwork, preparing as much as possible for all appointments. This includes preparing all paperwork for business / transactions, along with all review materials / reports.
Follow up and update First New York Retirement and Investment Services representative(s) on all pending business on a weekly basis.
Works with LPL Brokerage / fund companies on questions or issues with all processes.
Perform all tasks / responsibilities for First New York Retirement and Investment Services program that does not require a license. Including, but not limited to meeting with members for : beneficiary changes, address changes, RMD forms, linking banking info to investment accounts and various other forms.
Responsible for outgoing correspondence including reminder notices for appointments. Responsible for all filing, typing and generating of reports.
Responsible for scanning checks received from members to credit their various investment accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the First New York Retirement and Investment Services Representative and / or Credit Union management.
Maintain First New York Retirement and Investment Services database according to LPL Brokerage specifications.
Log Sales for strategic member follow up.
Protect member information and safeguard against the release of private credit union member information to the First New York Retirement and Investment Services representative(s) without permission of the member.
Acts in a clerical capacity only when handling cash or checks tendered by a member for the purchase or sale of securities. Issue checks from the member’s account in the ordinary course of business for use in connection with the purchase of securities or complying with member’s requests for normal credit union services.
New York State Notary Public.
Authorized to perform Signature Guarantees in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
Requirements :
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Strong work ethic
Excellent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft office products
Good grammatical skills
Strong communication skills, including follow-up calls to potential clients
Available to work flexible hours on occasion
Positive Attitude
Must be adaptable to change and able to change focus and direction spontaneously
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills detailed oriented
Work Schedule : Monday. – Friday. Five (5) Hours Daily, Five (5) Days per week, must be within Business Hours and consistent once start time and end time is selected.
