Position Purpose
The Legal Intern will assist the General Counsel with administrative and paraprofessional duties relating to legal matters including, without limitation, commercial contracts, litigation support, electronic discovery, liens, licensing, subcontracting, mergers/acquisition, and legal training and education. This role will also work cross-functionally with multiple other departments including, without limitation, Human Resources, Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Safety/Risk.
This program is designed to expose the right candidate to the day-to-day activities of a corporate Legal department.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Reviewing and editing commercial contracts
- Maintaining database of contractor and specialty licenses
- Providing litigation and legal support
- Managing and keeping current all compliance portals
- Managing business license applications and renewals
- Working across functional areas to support special contract compliance
- Acting as general administrative support for the General Counsel
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Problem solver
- Critical thinker
- An ability to work autonomously
- An ability to work with teams, locally, and remotely
- Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctorate program at an accredited institution with completion of first year
- None required
- Salesforce administration experience preferred
- LevelSet (f/k/a Zlien) experience preferred
- Legal Tracker experience preferred
- Commercial contract and GSA contracting experience preferred
- Travel will be less than 10%
- Duration: Ongoing
- Largely a sedentary role with extended periods of computer usage
- Ability to stoop, bend, or stand as necessary
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
