A Day in the Life of a Data Architect: Lead the Charge in Data Innovation

In this critical role, you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing our data infrastructure, setting robust data governance policies, and ensuring the integrity and security of our data across all platforms.
You will collaborate with teams across the business to create a data architecture that not only supports current needs but also anticipates future growth. As a key member of our growing data team, you'll help build the systems that will make a lasting impact on our organization's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align technology architecture with business strategy and goals
- Evaluate solutions for end-user experience, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
- Develop and maintain architecture artifacts (models, governance, roadmaps, etc.)
- Ensure solution security and compliance with regulations (data governance, policies)
- Manage data governance, quality, and compliance policies
- Oversee Databricks administration, including Delta Live tables, data pipeline management, and cost optimization
- Lead data integration efforts (ETL, CDC, Azure Event Hubs) across Databricks Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Optimize database systems (Postgres, Databricks) for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Design and maintain scalable data architecture (data warehouses, lakes, hybrid solutions)
- Develop data models (Data Vault, Star Schemas) for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Evaluate and implement new technologies (Generative AI, data cleansing, machine learning workflows)
Experience:
- 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and related disciplines
- Expertise in data governance and data security standards
- Expertise in data modeling (Postgres, Databricks), ETL/ELT tools, and cloud-based data warehousing
- Familiarity with real-time data processing (Microsoft Event Hubs, CDC)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Certifications in data architecture or cloud platforms, including Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Databricks Azure Platform Architect, Databricks Professional Data Engineer, and Databricks Apache Spark Developer
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, preferred

Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
