As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be the mastermind behind the data systems that fuel our business. You'll work closely with dynamic cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, craft innovative data pipelines, and optimize data storage for peak performance. Your expertise will be key in ensuring that our data is not only reliable and accurate but also ready for powerful analysis.
In this role, you'll also take the reins in leading and mentoring a talented team of data engineers, sharing your technical wisdom while shaping the strategic direction of our data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect data solutions, including enterprise data models and scalable pipelines in Databricks using Agile methods
- Establish data quality, modeling, and performance standards, driving innovation and best practices
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, testing strategies, and data integration patterns
- Lead ETL/ELT strategy, technical initiatives, and mentoring for the engineering team
- Create technical vision, architectural documentation, and reviews architectural decisions to ensure alignment with business goals
Technical Qualifications:
- Subject matter authority on Python pipeline development
- Advanced SQL development skills and architecture design
- Spark optimization skills
- Azure cloud architecture skills
- Databricks platform subject matter authority
- Data modeling mastery with Data Vault methodology
Experience:
- 5 years of data engineering and architecture experience
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required
- Advanced certifications in Azure and Databricks
- Master's degree, preferred
