A Day in the Life of a Warehouse Technician:
As a Warehouse Technician, you are vital to our operations. Your day starts by receiving and documenting incoming goods, followed by efficiently storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. You'll operate forklifts and maintain accurate inventory records while organizing the warehouse for maximum efficiency.
You'll also ensure the large loss fleet and restoration equipment are ready for action, conducting regular maintenance checks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced role, where you'll collaborate with your team to meet tight deadlines and uphold a culture of safety and excellence. Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations with equipment, consumables, and logistics
- Manage warehouse inventories monthly for consumables and annually for assets
- Fulfill outbound orders for branches and jobsites, including Area Wide Events (AWE)
- Oversee the readiness of First Onsite's large loss fleet of trailers
- Staff and manage laydown yards during AWEs
- Receive and track inbound inventory from vendors, branches, and jobsites
- Prepare receiving reports as needed
- Assemble and fill orders for shipping to job locations
- Assist with physical inventories
- Identify and order parts for field equipment repairs
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues for various equipment
- Advise on parts inventory and replenishment sources for availability and cost-effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- 2 years in warehouse and distribution operations
- 1 year of hands-on experience in general equipment maintenance
- Certification in Power-Truck Equipment Operation
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
