Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Brick/Stone Mason to join our Property Maintenance team in Independence, MO. The ideal candidate will have experience working with brick repair, mortar replacement and concrete to construct or repair structures such as brick walls, walkways, stairs and facades. You’ll play a key role in creating durable and aesthetically pleasing masonry projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks, stones, and blocks to construct and repair walls, walkways, and other structures.
- Mix and apply mortar or grout, ensuring proper bonding and alignment.
- Cut and shape materials to fit specific designs or spaces using hand tools or power tools.
- Inspect and maintain masonry tools and equipment.
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Proven experience as a brick/stone mason (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in masonry construction.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job site.
- Experience with historical restoration and specialty stonework.
