Job Summary
The Teller and Customer Service Agent role is responsible for performing routine branch and customer services duties, including accepting consumer and commercial checking and savings deposits, processing loan payments, and providing exceptional customer service. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information and recommendations.
- Cash Handling: Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Branch Operations: Assist with night depository duties, balance cash drawers, and verify cash being sold to the vault.
- Technology: Operate computer systems, including the Bank's Branch Capture system, to process transactions and manage customer accounts.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with branch staff to achieve sales and service objectives, and provide support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
- Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills; typing and computer skills.
- Certifications: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) certification required.
